By Larson, probably a Style 7, in excellent condition, appears to be all original. This is a small guitar, basically a shallow Single-0 size, with an amazing, gigantic voice. How did the Larsons do that?! The back & sides are rosewood, top is spruce, top and soundhole are purfled in abalone with simple pearl inlays on the fretboard and peghead, while the whole guitar is bound in ivoroid. There are no cracks and very little signs of wear - overall close to mint condition. Braces are in the X pattern and not laminated as shows up in so many Larsons, and the body depth is only 3 5/8" as oppossed to Martin's ) at over 4". It's fascinating to see how the Larsons were able to get such a full tone with their shallower bodies, a concept that is the opposite of current tone philosophy.
