A rare Martin F-2, their less decorated 16" jazz guitar, converted to a 0000-42, using solid red abalone purfling with Adirondack red spruce top, new ebony fretboard and bridge, ivory nut. camel bone saddle, EVO gold frets, and Tor-tis pickguard. Scale length is 25.4" with a nut width of 1-3/4" nut, 13-2/3 frets to the body. Nitrocellulose lacquer finish on top with 1930's style dark sunburst, and brown nitrocellulose lacquer refinish on neck. Howard has done several of these conversions recently, each one better than the last. While the top is new, they still come out of the shop sounding old and wise; I'm sure that with more playing, the tone will continue to blossom and grow.
