Oval hole, rope bndng, 10% larger than a soprano, to create a concert that is more soprano-like with a strong attack and little sustain. This instrument has a lot of bite, and is as good for picking as it is for strumming, loud, sparkely, crisp and clear note separation, does great for rhythmic comping (more like a soprano). If you like that good soprano sound but want to play a little larger instrument then this choice could be the ukulele for you.
It's made from Koa sent over from the Big Island of Hawaii, with a new style rope edge binding made to reflect what was used on the very earliest of ukuleles; it goes very well with the dark iron rich Big Iskland Koa. On the peghead it sports a lightly decorated maple veneer which mirrors the maple bridge and maple rope edge binding.
She?s lacquer finished as smooth and glossy as can be, topped with Peghead 4:1 geared tuners for easy tuning and set up with easy action and excellent intonation. Comes in a custom Pohaku Hardshell case.
