Stetson by Larson Bros., circa 1918
  • Early Larson Brothers
  • X-Braced, "0" Size
  • Abalone Border
  • Excellent Condition

Product Description

By the Larson Bros. for WJ Dyer & Son of St. Paul. It is X braced. The top is bordered with abalone purfling, with an abalone rosette, and the back is unbound, a standard feature for the Stetsons. This is a standard O size with 13 5/8" lower bout and 24 3/4" scale length; the one difference from Martin's 0 size is the narrower depth, 3 5/8" at the butt. The guitar is in lovely condition, all original except for the bridge, the braces are clean and original except for a very thin plate to keep the ball ends from sinking into the top. The tone, as one would expect is remarkably sweet and full, despite the small size and heavier-than-Martin bracing.
