The much admired Style 45, Martin's best, and the most gorgeous fancy model of the period. Most other builders of the time tended towards the gaudy side, while Martin, with its "pearl at every joint" was so much more refined and delicate. This one is a gorgeous with a particularly rich tone. These early smaller Martins of the time are so lightly built that the bigness of their tone is often surprising. We always hear, "that's a lot of sound for a little guitar." This guy has one repaired and cleated top crack and an overspray or refinish; everyrhing else appears to be original, including unaltered braces all around.
