The Soloist is our primary model, the one that our company started with. It came from Eric's connection to OM's, with certain modifications to bring the concept into the modern era. First was the desire to make a new guitar to be more like the original OM's from 1929-1934, which at the time a lost concept to modern builders. Secondly, adding the cutaway, which Martin had never done. Thirdly was adding the luthier's touch to the factory's procedure, as implemented by Dana Bourgeois. This Soloist dates to the time when Schoenbergs were being made in our small shop in Littleton, MA. Back & sides are Indian roswood and we're not sure what the top is. It's been played a bit during it's 19 year life and not pristine, but not bad at all.. It's a lightly built box and is very rich and resonant tonewise.
