Entirely hand-made by Todd Cambio of Madison, Wisconsin, this is a grand concert sized guitar based on the classic ladder-braced Oscar Schmidt designs of the early 20th century, out of mahogany and Adirondack spruce. These guitars are meant for old time blues. Leadbelly, Blind Willie McTell, Barbecue Bob, etc and this model, the Angelina, is based on the one played by Barbecue Bob. It has excellent balance and projection, with a tighter and more focused sound than from the larger-bodied instruments like Leadbelly's. The scale length is 26 1/2" which traditionally was tuned to B E A D F# B. Traditional techniques such as a dovetail neck joint, hot, fresh hide glue, hand-made wood purflings and varnish finishes were used.
