Product Description
GE = "Golden Era", thus it was based on the specs of a 1934 D-18, the earliest 14-fret D-18. That means an Adirondack spruce top, scalloped braces with the X closer to the bridge, wider neck and more. 1934 was the first year of the 14-fret Dreadnaughts, and these days an original one in good condition would be worth somewhere in the high five figures. This one sounds amazing. There's a particular tonal magic in Martin's Adirondack/mahogany combination, a lot of power, depth with incredible clarity and note presence.
