Product Description
The newest Schoenberg, a 12-fret 000 cutaway out of Koa and European Spruce. This model has consistently been an extremely successful body, while the koa/spruce combination has been my own favorite. I've had a couple, one I played for years, eventually sold because the neck shape was a bit large, leaving me with a serious case of seller's remorse. They have all been built by Robert Anderson of Victoria BC , a great friend and the recent 2022 Awardee of the Carter Wosk Award in Applied Art + Design, Award of Distinction, November 2022.
There's a special musical quality to this wood/body/builder model that tugs strongly at my heart. This newest one is possibly the best, with a very light build and years of experiment and experience. The finish is a delicate french polish, with herringbone purfling, maple binding and abalone rosette, solid peghead, pyramid bridge (allows more vibration to the top, thus richer tone), and slim subtle V neck with a 1 ¾"+ nut width. As this guitar ages with playing, its brilliant, incredible tone is going to be amazing.
