A Brazilian rosewood D-28 that has a plaque glued to the top bellow the bridge that states it was owned by Bob Shane of the Kingston Trio. We have not been able to verify the truth of the claim, though we've heard he would buy guitars and turn around and sell them claiming he used them. The guitar and case are look like they've been used extensively and show the results - there are two repaired cracks in the top, a couple small ones in the back and the pickguard has come off (it's in the case) and there's scarring in its place and the finish is not original. It sounds real good, and should be better whenever the bridge/saddle get straightened out. The action is good, though the bridge has been planed down to achieve this .
