Product Description

1932 C.F. Martin OM-28, #49937. A great sounding, well played OM-28 with lots of significant strum wear to the top around the fingerboard extension and dings, nicks and patina. No top or back cracks, a well repaired crack and plug in lower side near endpin that is difficult to see, very nicely done. New exact replica bridge by Jim Baggett with the saddle slot re-located to correct the intonation. '32's frequently have bridges too far back which resulted in bad intonation from the factory; this guitar now plays in tune after obviously having been played hard with the old intonation! Original bridge pins and endpin (currently in the case pocket, along with the remains of the original bridge), late '30's Grover G-98 tuners. The bar frets are newly reworked by the masterful Dennis Berck, whose repair bill states the work as "Remove all frets, shim & re-cut to height, re-install with compression to correct 015' relief." It now plays great, and is definitely a terrific sounding OM-28. Comes in a Collings vintage repro case, now discontinued (they were $1500 new and now are going in the $2K range on the vintage market).
