Back in the old days if you didn't want to spend so much on a starter guitar, you could just buy a Harmony. These are well built built, all solid wood decent instruments, and these days there are a few luthiers specializing in rebuilding them - taking the back off and rebracing and resetting the neck angle - and turning them into really good instruments. This one was redone by Dan Lambert of El Paso, is all mahogany and 000 size, an extra benifit. You'll be shocked: it booms!
